After our recent topic on ACC entitlements, it was brought to our attention by one of our TASC members that it would be very useful to have a comprehensive list of what are the ACC entitlements that you could receive. Because we don’t know what we don’t know!
We understand that a lot of the entitlements are related to your SCI level, previous occupation and housing situation etc, so each case will be different.
We would be particularly interested in any medical and health related fees and entitlements you are receiving, as well as items that you have personally been given that might have been the exception for your ACC claim. It could be a housing modification or equipment for sports or recreation or extra caregiving hours for some reason.
Your support in getting this list together would be very much appreciated. The list will be kept private, and only used to help other TASC members to improve their lives. Please tell us if you are happy for your name to stay attached to any information you forward, so TASC could call you for help with how your entitlement was obtained, and for what benefit. Which is always relevant when someone is approaching ACC. We also understand if you don’t want your name to be attached to the list. In this case the only information we will save is your SCI level, as we think this is how we will categorise the list.
